In our Ayurvedic 'Edible Healing' workshop - you will learn about healing plant based foods that are both vegan, and, vegetarian.

You will learn the theory and practicum of preparing Healing Ayurvedic Recipes, your own mix of herbs and spices for Kapha, Pitta, Vata disorders. Theory:

Introduction to Ayurveda
Introduction to Tridoshas
Importance of a plant based vegetarian diet
Food list and spices indicated for Kapha, Pitta and Vata
Incompatible foods for Kapha, Pitta and Vata
Importance of Agni and Digestion
Gluten Free Diet for Pitta, and Vata Grahani issues

Practicum:

Prepare a Warming Agni increasing Kapha Tea.
Prepare a cooling Pitta tea for decreasing Agni Prepare a Digestive tea with digestive spices for Vata
Prepare a Kitchri with basmati rice and yellow mung bean/split green mung bean

1. Sautee with Kapha Spices, and use kapha herbs and tastes like astringent, bitter and pungent
2. Sautee with cooling pitta spices, use pitta herbs and pitta pacifying tastes
3. Sautee with warming Vata spices and use Vata pacifying vegetables

Prepare one of the following according to your own dosha
1. Vata Spice Mix
2. Pitta Spice Mix
3. Kapha Spice Mix
