This course covers all the core and basic concepts of Ayurveda within the scope of Ayurveda 101, Samkhya Philosophy and Tridoshas 101. The program focuses on the Vedic Hindu tradition, Samkhya Philosophy, and, a detailed look at the three types of psycho somatic constitutions called doshas in detail.
The course is for the beginner, who is interested in learning about the system as well as those who might be interested in pursuing the higher certifications.
This program provides tools to the student to start incorporating Ayurveda into their daily life and their practice -- whether they are a yoga teacher, health practitioner, nurse, or a dietician.
This is our most popular course with yoga teachers, chiropractors, energy healers, reiki masters, Registered Nurses, as well as Registered Dieticians, and Nutritionists doing the course. This short 100 hour Certificate course is a sampler of whats to come in the level 2 -- so is also popular with practitioners of TCM, or, those interested in doing Level 2.
The college requires a minimum of 4 enrolled students, otherwise the course is deferred to the next month. The Onsite training that takes place once every month at our center is optional to attend.
The student is awarded an 100 Hour Foundation Certificate at the end of this course.

Training Delivery Block 1 Foundation follows a blended learning module.
1. Distant Learning at your own time
2. Flexible Forums and offline interaction with teachers through our Virtual Campus.
3. Live Online Classes through webex -- at our virtual classroom every sunday morning for 9 weeks. These are recorded and are available for viewing later.
4. Optional Classroom Workshops at our location in Escondido. These onsite workshops are webcast, and, optional for students to attend.
Course material includes: Audio-visual 'live' classes every sunday for 8 sundays , pre-recorded classes, presentations, lectures, assignments, and online quizzes at our Virtual Campus.
Students receive modules, study aids for correspondence, distant learning training.
The focus of this intensive is existing health professionals, alternative health practitioners, yoga teachers, chiropractors, massage therapists, nutritionists, registered nurses - who want to learn basics of Ayurveda and apply some of the knowledge immediately within their practice.
